Classic heirloom, one of the best all purpose variety, meaty flesh few seeds, perfect fresh or for sauces. Semi-freestanding, produces full globular pear shaped fruit. Superior strain known for more uniform fruit and greater disease resistance. Sowing instructions: Plant seeds 0.5 inches deep indoors from February-April. Transplant seedlings outdoors from May-June spacing them 24-36 inches apart in rows spaced 36 inches apart. Harvest from August-September.
