Long Island Improved Brusselsprouts

5430 - Brussel Sprouts. Brassica oleracea 24-30 in. Hardy Biennial Vigorous, compact plant is loaded with round, tight, dark-green sprouts that are succulent and tender. Best for late fall and winter harvests, as frosts will improve the flavor. For best results, start seed indoors from March to May and transplant into the garden 4-6 weeks later. For late fall and winter harvests, sow directly into the garden, 3 seeds per foot, 4-5 months before first expected frost. Watering tips. During germination, keep entire seedbed Levenly moist. Keep well-watered through maturity.Harvest when fully formed.
