White Egg Turnip

5072 - White Egg This very old pre-1880’s heirloom was a top market variety in the U.S. A smooth white turnip, quality mild white flesh, an early variety.Sow thinly 0.25-0.5" deep. Space young plants to 4-6" apart in rows 24-30" apart. Sow seed as early as the soil can be worked to mature crop for early market.  Late plantings are less susceptible to root maggot damage.
