1233 - Petitbec. 60 Days.
Quebec variety, early maturing, producing red tomatoes, small to medium in size, borne in clusters. Developed from a selection by Roger Doucet in the 1970s at the Saint-Hyacinthe research station, this cultivar is well adapted to the Quebec climate. Semi-determinate plants reaching 50 cm to 1 m, with vigorous growth and high productivity. Slightly flattened fruits, a bit smaller than a ping-pong ball, ripening about 60 days after transplanting. Sweet flavour with a hint of acidity; ideal for sauces and perfect as a halved cherry/cocktail tomato. Sow indoors in late March-early April; transplant to the garden after the soil has warmed and the risk of frost has passed.
